TCH 11 - LET'S LEARN TO READ AS ADULTS

Project Location
This project is being carried out in the village of Deressia where the Comboni Missionary Sisters live. As in the rest of Chad, there is a situation of widespread poverty not only in people's lives, but also in health and school infrastructures, also due to the lack of trained personnel in these sectors.
The roads are also in bad condition, during the rainy season, the center of Deressia remains isolated due to floods, and it is impossible to go out by car for several months of the year.
Project description
The missionary sisters’ activity, which has been carried out in the educational field in primary and secondary schools for several years, will also involve adults from this year, especially women who have not had any schooling.
The literacy course will take place in the first six months of the year with the opening of two classes for adults, especially for women, three times a week.
