SSD 21 – WAU ELDERLY CARE
Project Location
The project is taking place in Wau, the second city of South Sudan, a country devastated by a civil war that has caused hundreds of thousands of deaths and millions of displaced people.
Project description
Visiting and bringing Holy Communion to the elderly who belong to the parish of San Daniele Comboni we have always found them alone, abandoned with no one to take care of them. They really live in a miserable condition of poor housing, hygiene and food. This pains us a lot because we feel that they deserve to be treated well and live a dignified life. That is why we would like to support them with food items, washing soap, paying for their medical expenses and repairing the roof of their huts. This may improve their standard of living.
Objective
- Improving the living conditions of the elderly in Wau.
