SSD 12 - EVANGELIZATION, OUR PASSION

Cueibet is located in Lakes State, in the Diocese of Rumbek in South Sudan. The people who live in the area are pastoralist Dinka Gok and live with their flocks in large spaces. The Dinka are the largest ethnic group in South Sudan. The area is accessible by very precarious roads, so people are little exposed to the outside world and often come into conflict with each other.

We believe that, in this context, education and the promotion of human and Christian values are important tools to transform minds and hearts.

In this reality, Christian faith is a huge challenge for this strong Dinka culture. Most of the people follow more faithfully their human traditions and believe, than integrating the Christian values in their decisions and life in general. Therefore, we intend to strengthen evangelization with young women, youth, children and catechists. Pastoral life in this place is quite weak and we intend to strengthen our efforts to focus on Evangelization at all levels.

We plan to do:

• Monthly formative meetings for the schoolgirls of the schools of the Church.
• Visit and meetings with girls from other schools.
• Meeting with youth, children and catechists
• Visit to the chapels to accompany sacramental preparation.

• To offer christian formation to all
