SSD 07 - SUPPORT FOR THE STUDENTS OF COMBONI SECONDARY SCHOOL
Project Location
The project takes place in Juba, the capital of South Sudan, a city that is home to people from different parts of the country. Some of these people arrived in Juba as IDPs, others in search of work or better education, but the economic situation in the country has put many families in desperate need of support. The Comboni Secondary School in Juba, has a capacity of 760 students. Most of them come from humble backgrounds.
Project description
Working with young people in South Sudan in the field of education, I have found many young people who wish to study, but are limited due to the financial resources in their homes. The economic crisis in the country is forcing families to take drastic decision and has forced many children to drop out of school as families cannot afford their education. The project will help to pay tuition fee of 5 needy but intelligent students and buy some of their scholatic materials (books, pens, uniforms).
