KE 05 - AWARENESS IS STRENGTH: VOCATIONAL PROMOTION PROJECT
Project Location
The project will be carried out in different parts of the country, in schools and in parishes given the fact that it is a ministry that targets young women who desire to become missionaries.
Project description
Vocation promotion is part and parcel of the missionary activities of the Comboni Missionary Sisters. Without Vocation Promotion, it means that there can be no continuity in the wonderful work that we carry out around the world.
However, this ministry does not generate any income; yet it is characterized by a number of expenditures:
- Transport: The visiting of schools and parishes around the country to sensitize the young women on the value of dedicating their lives to creating a better society by empowering those in the margins of society.
- Printing out of brochures aimed at sharing important information with young women
- Organizing seminars (feeding, getting facilitators, offering accommodation)
It is for the above reasons that getting funds to sustain the various activities is crucial.
Objectives
- To create among the young women the awareness of the missionary dimension geared towards empowering the less fortunate in society
- To facilitate the meeting of young people in their contexts
- To assist in paying school for the needy girls who could be called to be missionaries but cannot pursue well their studies,
Beneficiaries
Direct: 90 girls who will attend our awareness seminars
Indirect: parents, teachers, and youth themselves.
